In business for over 80 years, this local playhouse has an international reputation. The Des Moines Playhouse hosted the first International Community Theater Festival and continually entertains over 40,000 patrons yearly. The theater seats 450 people, and recently presented productions of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."
